The bill as it is currently written fails to protect privacy. It would allow the seizure of records without a warrant, surveillance of Internet communications without a court order, searches of property without notice to the owner, and widespread monitoring of public phones and public computers regardless of whether the users of such devices are suspects. I support the Feingold amendments, which would set clear limits on government surveillance. Matthew Belmonte
