Subject: support reform of the HEA drug exclusion

Dear Representative Capuano

Thank you for cosponsoring HR 685, a bill to amend the Higher Education Act of
1965 to repeal the provisions prohibiting persons convicted of drug offences
from receiving student financial assistance.  Denying access to higher
education only makes life more difficult for students who have turned to
drug use.  Many of these people are those who most need the opportunity
provided by education.
