Subject: support S.1507, the Library, Bookseller, and Personal Records Privacy Act

Dear Senator Kerry

I hope that you'll support S.1507, the Library, Bookseller, and
Personal Records Privacy Act.  This important bill would restrict
law-enforcement searches of library and bookstore records to cases in
which the individual to whom those records pertains is reasonably
suspected of being an agent of a foreign power.  Such a restriction
would restore at least a small part of the force of the Bill of Rights
against vastly expanded powers of government surveillance.
