Dear Senator Kennedy

Thank you for co-sponsoring S.1507, the Library, Bookseller, and
Personal Records Privacy Act.  As you know, this important bill would
restrict law-enforcement searches of library and bookstore records to
cases in which the individual to whom those records pertains is
reasonably suspected of being an agent of a foreign power.  In light
of your vote in favour of the USA PATRIOT Act two years ago, I am very
positively surprised and impressed at your willingness to co-sponsor
the Library, Bookseller, and Personal Records Privacy Act.  Thank you
for reconsidering your previous opposition to the Bill of Rights.
