I hope that you'll oppose H.Con.Res. 460, a bill introduced by Tom DeLay and
Steny Hoyer that endorses Ariel Sharon's dangerously one-sided answer to the
Palestinian question.  This bill would compound the error of President Bush's
endorsement of Sharon's plan and cement Israel's land grab by continuing the
military occupation, the development of settlements in the occupied West Bank,
and the construction of a physical wall that separates Palestinians from
natural resources and from each other.  This quick fix would breed resentment
in new generations of Palestinians and therefore is unlikely to produce a
lasting peace.
