I travelled to Pittsburgh to volunteer for your campaign, spending several
days on canvassing and logistics, because I believe in what you represent.
About half of the electorate believes as we do, and it's critical that their
voices be heard -- all of them.  That's why I'm asking you to reconsider and
to join Representative Conyers in challenging the presidential electoral
votes from the state of Ohio.  Although none of us seriously expect that
such a challenge would alter the electoral outcome, that isn't the point.
Congress needs to illuminate the serious voting rights inequalities that
have arisen in this election and in the previous presidential election.
Voting hardware needs to be deployed equitably amongst all precincts,
provisional ballots need to be distributed and counted, electronic voting
systems need to have a tamper-proof audit trail.  An electoral challenge
will force these issues onto the table.  Please help us make certain that
every vote is counted.
