Please ask the Senate Intelligence Committee not to hold a secret
meeting on the Patriot Act tomorrow. Please ask them to make this a
public hearing.

Three and a half years ago the process of public debate and
deliberation was short-circuited when a Department of Justice
wish-list was substituted for the bill that had been marked up in
committee. Don't allow this assault on individual liberties to be
repeated.
