In the early morning hours of 11 October 2002, you voted for H.J.Res. 114 which authorised George W Bush to make war against Iraq. You now have an opportunity to reverse that mistake, at least in some degree. Senator Chuck Hagel and others have proposed a resolution opposing President Bush's planned escalation of the war for Baghdad. I hope that you'll support Senator Hagel's bill; as you once said in a more insightful moment, "How do you ask a man to be the last man to die for a mistake?"
