Thank you for co-sponsoring S.849, the OPEN Government Act.  As you know, the
OPEN Government Act would recognise the media status of bloggers and other
unaffiliated reporters, and would improve the timeliness and tracking of
Freedom of Information Act requests and accountability for denials of such
requests.  This important bill is needed now more than ever to offset an
executive branch that hides its shortcomings behind institutional secrecy.
