Thank you for co-sponsoring S.2088, the National Security Letter Reform Act.
As you know, this important bill would partially reinstate judicial review,
by requiring subpoenas in cases of demands for highly personal records.  In
addition, it would deter the FBI and other federal agencies from abusing the
practice of National Security Letters, by imposing civil penalties for unlawful
NSL demands.  S.2088 is an important step towards bringing the United States
out of totalitarianism and into the free world and I'm grateful for your
support of it.
