I know that we can count on you to oppose HR 1467, the so-called "Safe and
Secure America Act."  As you know, this bill would prolong for a further
decade the civil liberties affronts codified in the USA PATRIOT Act and the
Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act.  It's a relic of the Bush
government's failed policy that attempted to trade freedom for security, and
such a policy has no place in a free society.
