Thank you for co-sponsoring S. 931, the Arbitration Fairness Act.  Arbitration
by its very nature must be a process in which both parties hold equal power,
and into which both parties enter voluntarily.  Parties to contracts must not
be allowed to compel each other to commit to arbitration prospectively; this is
particularly true when one party is a corporation with many resources and the
other is a consumer or an employee.  I know that you and your staff will be
working hard to achieve passage of this important bill.
