I'm disappointed to learn that you voted today against S.Amdt. 1618, a bill that would have amended 18 USC 44 to allow people who have permits to carry concealed guns to cross state borders with those guns. As you know, Massachusetts is not far from neighbouring states. Many gun owners reside in Vermont, New Hampshire or Connecticut but travel frequently to Massachusetts. When these gun owners travel through their home states on the way to or from Massachusetts, their Second Amendment rights are effectively restricted to the same low level of rights afforded to residents of Massachusetts.
