Thank you for speaking out for the First Amendment with your comments at this
evening's White House iftar supporting the plan for a Muslim community centre
and mosque near the World Trade Center site.  When the planned Muslim centre
becomes a reality, its openness and peacefulness may spur Americans to
distinguish Islam in general from the violent and radical fringe with which
they seem now to associate it.
