Thank you for co-sponsoring S.683, the Community Choice Act.  As you know, this
important bill would lessen Medicaid's bias towards institution-based services
and allow funds to be directed towards community-based services, which are both
cheaper and supportive of a greater quality of life than that which is typical
within institutions.  Individuals with developmental disorders or other
Medicaid-funded conditions ought to have the option (albeit not a mandate) of
receiving community-based services.
