Dear Mr Huppert

I'm sure that you're aware of Liberty's "Unsafe, Unfair" campaign against the
continuing injustice of control orders - a means of confinement that bypasses
open trial and fails to give the accused any opportunity to confront the
evidence or to present a defence.  The control order scheme was spun as an
emergency, temporary measure yet Parliament keeps renewing it year after
year.  I know that you will vote with your Cambridge constituents to end this
Orwellian scheme when next it comes up for renewal.  In a free society there is
one and only one way to prosecute for an alleged offence, and that is in open
trial.
