Dear Mr Freeman Recent news reports - http://www.DailyMail.co.uk/news/article-4797790/Home-Office-refuses-visas-Arab-artists-Edinburgh.html - highlight the Home Office's high rate of seemingly arbitrary refusals of visas for Arab artists who had intended to perform at this summer's Edinburgh Fringe, depriving Britons of the chance to see themes from the Arab world portrayed - depriving us, in effect, of the chance to be challenged in our beliefs and to think critically about others'. Theatre and the sociopolitical discourse surrounding it make important sustenance for any democracy. Would you ask Amber Rudd, please, what do she and her staff have against Britain's participation in global theatre? Kind regards Matthew BELMONTE
