Marijuana is a real benefit to certain patients experiencing chronic or severe pain or nausea. It's often useful in cases of cancer or AIDS. States should be permitted to establish their own policies on the compassionate and therapeutic use of marijuana for medical purposes. Also, I note that to date I have received not a single reply to any of the correspondence that I have sent to you, even though I've always included both my email and USnail addresses. This unresponsiveness makes me question whether your staff is actually reading your mail. In addition, you've made yourself very difficult to contact, since you apparently refuse to have a house.gov address or a functional Web page. As you know, the Cambridge area contains a very large population of technical workers and students, and many of us prefer to communicate electronically. I voted for you because your campaign materials made it clear that you best represented the political will of the people of Cambridge. However, your presence in Washington is no benefit to us if we can't communicate with you.
