Subject: support the Markey Amendment to HR 10

Dear Representative Capuano

Since you're a member of the Committee on Banking and Financial Services, as
your constituent I'd like to urge you to work to re-insert provisions in HR 10
that would limit the sharing of personal information by financial institutions.
The version of HR 10 currently scheduled for consideration on the House floor
has been stripped of these provisions, which were originally contained in the
Markey Amendment.  The proliferation of information technology makes privacy
rules increasingly important.  I hope that the final version of HR 10 will
include strong curbs on the sharing of depositor information.
